We're Sam & Lydia,
founders of
THE MOVEMENT
The Movement is Perth’s first and only podiatry clinic that is dedicated to helping people improve the FORM & FUNCTION of their feet through Prescription Orthotics.
Although this is where the road has led us, we hadn’t always had this vision to create such a clinic.
We had been in the podiatry profession for a decade, doing all the normal things that podiatrists do.
But we had realised that in all of the work that we did on a daily basis, one thing stood out.
When we would help our clients through the use of custom orthotics, the responses were overwhelmingly different-
“Wow – these orthotics are amazing. What you do is truly life changing”
“How did I not know this after spending years trying to get to the bottom of my problem?
“I wish someone had told me that my feet were the problem ages ago”
It was our clients’ voices that had made us realise the life-changing power of these humble-looking orthotics on people’s ability to move freely and well.

It dawned on us that yes, podiatrists were everywhere and yet there was a gap.
A gap where FORM (alignment) and FUNCTION (movement) are the sole focus, and the application of PRESCRIPTION ORTHOTICS is educated and executed with expertise.
And that this gap can only be filled by diving deep.
Because it is by diving deep and having a laser focus that our impact can be amplified.
We created The Movement for those who:
Desire a dedicated focus on form and function of the feet and lower limbs
Want someone works with their foot wear choices without judgement
Understand that addressing the root cause is more beneficial in the long run than managing symptoms
Acknowledge the significant role if the feet in their ability to move freely and well now and in the future
Appreciate a practical approach to prescription orthotics
WHY THE MOVEMENT
So, why the name?
Movement to Raise Awareness
Of the importance of proper foot alignment and its impact on the function of the feed and beyond.
Movement to Shed New Light
On custom orthotics and how it can help people in their ability to move freely and well.
Your Movement and Your Stories
It's about your ability to move well now and for years to come
